Moom is a window management utility for macOS developed by Many Tricks that allows you to move, resize and organize windows easily and precisely without dragging. Moom adds a customizable pop-up palette to each window’s zoom button, lets users save and restore multi-window layouts, and lets keyboard-only users who prefer not to touch the mouse at all still control their windows, rather than struggle with vague gestures on the trackpad. Version 4.5.1 is a maintenance release focused on compatibility. It gets Moom ready for the upcoming macOS 27 visual style, fixes a layout issue for windows that don't have a title attribute (such as those in cmux), improves compatibility with Bartender's Top Shelf feature, and makes the ordering of windows more consistent when applying layouts on newer versions of macOS. What differentiates Moom from the window snapping built into macOS is depth of customization: its pop-up palette can contain up to 61 individual custom actions, including folders, layouts and grids, and any action can be chained together, assigned a keyboard shortcut or organized in nested folders. Moom 4 also added the ability to save layouts of "any window" which will restore the N most recently used windows into fixed positions no matter which apps they belong to, with an option to auto-hide unrelated apps when a layout is applied. It’s designed for accuracy with a single display (menu bar, Dock, and optional Stage Manager sidebar included) rather than spreading setups across multiple displays.
