It lets you download video and audio from YouTube, Vimeo, Youku, Dailymotion and well over a thousand other sites directly to your Mac’s hard drive. Downie avoids command-line tools and browser hacks by simply accepting any link you paste or drop in, automatically detecting the source and setting up the download. 4.12.11 Version 4.12.11 is a maintenance release fixing extraction issues on fc2.com, instagram.com, weibo.com, youtube.com, improving HLS stream parsing, and other minor bug fixes and stability improvements.
