Tower Lab 0.1.0.1

Tower Lab is an Early Access physics-sandbox tower defense game from Play Tug Studio where enemies have no health bars — instead, players push, pull, and launch robots off the map using chainable, physics-driven towers. With Endless, Arcade TD, Puzzle, and Workshop-enabled Sandbox modes, plus a roguelite deckbuilding campaign across 3 regions, it offers a distinctive twist on the tower defense genre.

Tower Lab 0.1.0.1 Story

7. STORYLINE Tower Lab does not center on a traditional narrative — its premise is framed around experimental physics-based defense: players are cast as the architect of a series of tower "contraptions" tasked with keeping waves of robots from crossing the map. Progression through the roguelite campaign's 3 regions unlocks new towers, cores, machines, traps, and physics effects, with the implicit story being one of escalating experimentation as players build increasingly elaborate physics-driven defenses.

Tower Lab 0.1.0.1 Gameplay

Tower Lab's core gameplay replaces traditional tower-defense damage mechanics with physics: enemies have no health and are instead defeated by being pushed, pulled, bounced, or launched off the edge of the map by towers working together. Players place towers strategically, chaining their effects into combined "contraptions," and can choose to shrink enemies for easier removal or grow them for greater risk and reward. The game offers four modes — a procedurally generated Endless roguelite deckbuilder with weekly leaderboards, an Arcade TD mode using a Matter-based resource economy across standard campaign levels, a Puzzle mode built around minimal-resource, single-health challenges, and a Workshop-enabled Sandbox mode for building and sharing custom levels. A roguelite campaign across 3 regions ties these systems together with meta-progression, unlocking new towers, cores, machines, traps, and utility cards as players advance.
