Pronoun Palace 1.2.5 Story
In a dystopian future, an oppressive bureaucratic government has taken away everyone's pronouns. Players take on the role of rebels resisting the Party, using spelling battles as their weapon. Each character brings their own abilities to the fight, and the story is delivered through an absurd, darkly comic lens that satirizes bureaucracy and enforcement of social rules.
Pronoun Palace 1.2.5 Gameplay
Pronoun Palace is a word-spelling roguelike. Players form words from letter tiles, using wooden tiles to attack and plastic tiles to defend, and activate spells that shift letters, create wildcards, or transform tiles. Each character has distinct abilities, and every enemy changes the rules of a fight with effects such as poisoned tiles, trigrams, capital letters, mystery letters, and tile-adjacency restrictions. Between battles, players can fish for resources or take risky boosts. Runs are relatively short and follow roguelike structure, which encourages replaying with different characters and strategies.
