Powerplay is an indie strategy game from the small studio Frantic. It launched in Steam Early Access on July 29, 2026. You run the economy and the military of an industrial nation. Resources are limited and tied to specific spots on the map. You have to mine them, carry them to factories on conveyor belts, and protect those supply lines from attack. Then you use what your factories make to build armies on land, in the air and at sea. Nuclear weapons are available too. It’s playable now, but still unfinished. The developers plan to add a second faction and more maps during Early Access.

Supply chains and conveyor belts. Move raw materials to factories and turn them into parts and weapons. Planning space and flow is the main challenge. Classic RTS combat. Command hundreds of units across land, air and sea, with fog of war and a tech tree. Campaign and skirmish. A 6-mission campaign and 7 replayable skirmish maps against the computer. Map editor. Build your own maps with elevation support, and share them through Steam Workshop. Finite resources. Resources run out, so expanding too fast or too thin can cost you the match.
