Mini Murder Mysteries drops players directly into the role of an unnamed detective, tasked with solving nine separate, self-contained cases involving spies, gamblers, bystanders, and figures of social influence. While each case initially appears standalone, completing the full roster of nine investigations reveals a deeper, interconnected mystery running beneath the surface — one that developer BUNKWORKS has hinted ties into the studio's broader body of work, including an upcoming title, The Murder of Ava Munroe, featuring the same detective.
Mini Murder Mysteries 1.1 Gameplay
Gameplay centers on examining crime scenes, interviewing a diverse cast of suspects, and carefully sifting through witness statements to identify relevant clues buried among red herrings and irrelevant "useful nonsense." Each case's solution is built by selecting the correct handful of Deduction Words from a pool of 24 possible options, with a hint system (added in version 1.1) available to indicate how many currently selected words are correct, guiding players toward the true solution without giving it away outright.
