About Quick Menu 2 Edgar Huanca for Mac
Quick Menu 2 is an After Effects launcher script by Edgar Huanca, distributed via aescripts + aeplugins. It's designed to help editors and motion designers find and use effects, plugins, presets, scripts, extensions, menu commands and expressions in After Effects without having to dig through nested menus. Quick Menu 2 is not a visual effect, but a productivity tool that works on top of After Effects and provides users with a quick, type-to-find interface to commands they would have to hunt for manually. Quick Menu 2’s core concept is speed: users can call up the menu with a keyboard shortcut, type a few letters, and immediately find and activate the effect, preset or command they need. According to the official version history, Quick Menu 2 was last updated on October 2, 2019, to version 2.1.3, compatible with After Effects CS6 through CC 2019, and continued to function unofficially through CC 2022 due to developer and user discussions on the aescripts forums. It has since been replaced by Quick Menu 3, a newer paid product from the same developer that adds compatibility with newer versions of After Effects along with additional features.
