P422 Fairuz is a resonant equalizer plugin developed by Pulsar Modular, built around real op-amp circuitry voiced after the discrete consoles that shaped classic analog EQ sound, combined with a Pultec-style boost-and-cut trick on a single band. Available as an AU, VST3, and AAX plugin for macOS and Windows, P422 Fairuz runs as a Universal 2 Binary on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs, requiring macOS 10.13 or later. Version 2.1.0, released August 21, 2026, improves HIGH and HI-MID EQ accuracy and consistency across sample rates, improves the smooth, organic analog movement of the Tremor circuit, adds performance and CPU optimizations, improves overall stability across DAWs and standalone use, refines the preset browser and saving/compatibility, improves preset recall and visualizer performance, improves window resizing and multi-monitor support, and improves keyboard focus, undo/redo, automation, and general UI behavior, along with improved license activation and demo handling. What makes P422 Fairuz distinct from a typical parametric EQ is that every band runs through a genuine op-amp circuit stage, so the plugin's harmonic color is present even when a band's frequency knob isn't being touched — turning a band's EQ off leaves the op-amp saturation still active, letting engineers use Fairuz purely as a Band Saturation tool if desired. Its Contour bands take the classic engineering trick of boosting and cutting the same frequency with two separate filters and condense it into a single band with an automatic complementary dip, while a Voice input transformer and Hammer output transformer add tonal shaping and density before and after the EQ stage. Version 2.0 introduced a substantially redesigned GUI with an expanded spectrum visualizer, 278 presets organized by instrument and application, a rebuilt oversampling engine, recalibrated Contour curves for deeper boost/cut without cramping, and a Dual Mono mode that randomizes left/right channels for authentic stereo hardware behavior on buses and groups.
