Imagiro Piano is a virtual piano instrument plugin by imagiro, an independent plugin studio that focuses on character-driven, lo-fi instruments. Imagiro Piano doesn’t strive for a pristine, concert-hall piano sound, but rather for intimacy and imperfection, using recordings made in real rooms – bedrooms, home studios and unconventional spaces – giving each sound set a distinctly warm, textured character. The plugin comes with a base sound set called "Piano 1", and additional purchasable sound packs like Piano 2, Celeste, Warped and Oak. Each sound pack is recorded with different microphones, dampening materials and room conditions to give each one its own tonal personality. The difference between Imagiro Piano and more traditional piano libraries is the creative processing layer; glide, tone shaping, loop and reverse controls allow producers to manipulate the source recordings into textures far beyond a standard acoustic piano, along with more traditional tools such as ADSR shaping, microtuning support and a preset system.
