About AtrumLab Rumor 1.0.0 for Mac
Rumor is a glitch and stutter effect plugin from ATRUM LAB, described by the developer as "the Lab's latest machine." It takes any incoming sound, slices it on a tempo grid, and rebuilds it as rhythmic, chopped, reversed, pitched, and echoed material, all driven by a single engine and locked to the host tempo. The pitch is simple: any sound goes in, and an idea comes out. What sets Rumor apart is that it puts the whole glitch toolkit on one panel instead of spreading it across several plugins. At its core is a Morph engine that chops audio on a map you can draw, so the rhythm of the slicing is something you shape rather than a random buffer. Each slice can carry its own pitch, repeat, and reverse settings, and MORPH controls slice depth while GLIDE slides the pitch between slices. After the engine, the signal moves through a filter and then three pedals wired in a fixed order: a reverse pedal, a tape-style echo, and a half-time pitch pedal. Four LFOs that you can draw yourself can be attached to any knob.
