Available as a VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin, Multiband Filterbank requires macOS 13 or later on Intel or Apple Silicon Macs, and Windows 10 or higher on PC, and is also compatible with Akai MPC standalone and desktop systems, as well as FORCE, running software version 2.15.1 or later. Version 1.0.0.37 is the current release, originally launched by AIR Music Technology in November 2024. What sets Multiband Filterbank apart from a typical single-band filter plugin is that every filtering and modulation function is available independently across all three bands — low, mid, and high — split using adjustable crossover points with a live spectrum display for precise visual control. Each band offers a choice of five filter types (low-pass, band-pass, high-pass, notch, and peak) with Cutoff, Resonance, and Pre-Drive controls, plus a per-band envelope follower with rise, fall, gain, and modulation amount controls that can be fed from the output of any band — including three quick presets (low follow, mid follow, high follow) for shaping envelope behavior. AIR positions the plugin as well suited to rock and pop mixes, trap-style 808 shaping, R&B, and electronic soundscapes, with a wide range of included factory presets and per-band solo for focused editing.
