It is designed to work on a wide range of audio related tasks on macOS, from live recording and digitising old tapes and vinyl records to converting between a wide number of sound formats and repairing damaged recordings. Where Amadeus Pro differs is in the range of tools packed into one fairly light-weight application: full multitrack editing with separate volume and panning per track, a powerful batch processor for converting and applying effects to large collections of files, and a dedicated repair centre for removing hiss, hum and clicks from old recordings. It supports a long list of formats including MP3, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, Apple Lossless, AIFF, WAVE, FLAC and more. It supports both VST and Audio Unit plug-ins to further extend the built-in effects. Amadeus Pro 3.0 requires Mac OS X 13+, so version 2.8.14 is the last of the 2.x line supporting Mac OS X 12 and below and is the recommended version for users who have not yet upgraded.
